Adult Faith Formation

The Spiritual Development Committee offers
the adults in the parish opportunities to grow in their
faith to deepen their awareness of themselves, the community, and of God's place in their lives. We believe in Faith Formation for the total congregation with special
emphasis on adults because the act of faith is an adult act.
Faith is a process into which children are initiated in baptism. Their growth in faith will depend largely on the quality of faith they experience and assimilate in the adult
community, especially in the home. Meetings are held the
second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Resource Center.

   Catechist Certification
The Archdiocese of Cincinnati offers
catechist the opportunity to become
certified on three levels: Basic, General,
and Advanced. Through the
Archdiocese’ Dayton Office of Faith
Formation, parish catechetical leaders
collaborate with catechists to design a
process that encourages growth in skills
and knowledge and continuing formation
of faith. The parish encourages catechists
to become certified at each of the three
levels. Top

Project Christmas Stocking
Children and their families participate in two
bake sales in November to raise money for this
annual outreach program. Money raised at the bake
sales is then used by catechist/students in
grades one through eight to purchase clothing and
toys for families assigned to us by Catholic Social Services.
Catechist and children are encouraged to go
shopping as a group to purchase the gifts for the
families and then wrap and tag the gifts. Gifts are
blessed at a prayer service and then delivered to
Catholic Social Services. Top
