of Judy Maier's funeral, October 2001.
9:30 Choir
The primary function of
this choir is to lead the music for the 9:30 a.m. Mass on Sundays and for other
occasions as necessary or as scheduled. In addition to hymns and service music, the choir
occasionally sings anthems to enhance the liturgy. Membership is open to
musicians (vocalists and instrumentalists) of all ages starting at the Junior High School level.
Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 7:00-9:00 PM, in the Multi-Purpose Room
(MPR), from September thru the feast of Pentecost. During the off season, the
members are invited to assist the cantor at the 9:30 Mass as they are able.
If you wish to join the choir, or would like additional information, please
contact our parish director of music, John Edelmann at 937-656-3806 (daytime) or
via
email. Top
Cantors
The Cantors are accomplished vocalists
who are willing and able to lead the assembly in
the singing of Psalms, and acclamations used at Mass. In the absence of a
choir or other ensemble, they lead congregational singing of hymns and service music.

Organ Concert CDs Are Available
Orders for music CD's of Holy Angel's Pipe Organ performances are now being taken by Holy Angels Music Ministry. Two CDs are available: (1) a rich variety of traditional organ and orchestral works programmed by the organ builder, Larry Stofer, of Rainbow Organ, recorded onsite in November 2005 ($10), and (2) a live recording of the pipe organ dedication concert of January 29, 2006 ($15). Both recordings are wonderful examples of the fantastic new capabilities of the parish's recently renovated instrument. Please contact John Edelmann, director of music ministry, via email (edelmann@hcst.net), or phone (656-3806) for more information or to order copies of either collection. Don't miss this rare opportunity to take a musical bit of our parish history home to share with your family and friends! Top
